Sellers Insight

Knights Cottage is such a lovely home. It’s difficult to say what we love best about it because we love it all. All our family does and if we weren’t relocating we wouldn’t be selling. Now there are just the two of us for most of the time and we love our big space, we can be in different rooms working and then we come together in the living space. When our family arrive there are 13 of us, soon to be 14 and the house accommodates us all and we never feel on top of each other. There are plenty of different spaces so everyones needs are accommodated for. In winter we pile into the TV room, fire on and watch a movie and in the summer the big bifold doors are all pushed back and the inside and the outside blend. Parties are fun here too, lots of space and again plenty of BBQ area.

The office used to be a bedroom because it has its own shower room and would be perfect for teenagers or a dependent relative. My room is a little sanctuary, quiet and peaceful, especially when the door is shut.

The grandchildren love to play upstairs, they hide in the sauna, they run and jump in the long room above the garage, with so much space its a perfect family home.

We created the garden a few years ago, and sunk the trampoline into the lawn which allowed the flowers to take centre stage. I am a keen gardener so there is always something flowering and giving colour. We have enjoyed an abundance of soft fruit and grow our own vegetables, so all those opportunities are there if you are so inclined.

Bishop Burton is convenient for Beverley, Hull and York, the walks on the Wolds and the Westwood Pastures are really special. We are 40 minutes from the coast. The village itself is really lovely, lots going on and friendly people.

We will miss our beautiful home and hope you enjoy it as much as we have done.
